Orange Pound Cake
Ingredients:
300 gm Flour (2 Cups)
1 Teaspoon Baking powder
4 Eggs
1 Cup Sugar
200 gm soft Butter
A pinch of Salt
1/3 cup Orange juice
1 Tablespoon Orange Zest
For the Sugar Icing (Optional)
1 Cup sifted powdered Sugar
2 Tablespoons Orange juice
Orange zest for decoration
Preparation:
*Prheat the oven to 175°C.
* With an electric mixer,
mix Butter & Sugar till creamy. Then add eggs one by one & mix well for
3-4 minutes on high speed.
* Add the Orange juice &
zest & mix well.
* Finally add the Flour
,Salt & Baking powder & mix till well blended then add the mixture in a
buutered & flouered Cake pan.
Sugar icing:
Mix
the powdered sugar with the orange juice til smooth & creamy ,then pour it
over the Cake. Then decorate with some Orange zest.
