Orange Pound Cake


Orange Pound Cake





Ingredients:


300 gm Flour (2 Cups)
1 Teaspoon Baking powder
4 Eggs
1 Cup Sugar
200 gm soft Butter
A pinch of Salt
1/3 cup Orange juice
1 Tablespoon Orange Zest

For the Sugar Icing (Optional)

1 Cup sifted powdered Sugar
2 Tablespoons Orange juice
Orange zest for decoration

Preparation:

*Prheat the oven to 175°C.
* With an electric mixer, mix Butter & Sugar till creamy. Then add eggs one by one & mix well for 3-4 minutes on high speed.
* Add the Orange juice & zest & mix well.
* Finally add the Flour ,Salt & Baking powder & mix till well blended then add the mixture in a buutered & flouered Cake pan.
* Enter the preheated oven for around 50 minutes .


Sugar icing:

Mix the powdered sugar with the orange juice til smooth & creamy ,then pour it over the Cake. Then decorate with some Orange zest.

Sausage-Cheese Muffins




Sausage-Cheese Muffins



An easy savory Muffin recipe that is ideal for Breakfast, Brunch or as a light dinner.

Ingredients:(makes 12 Muffins)
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
120 gm Cheddar cheese (or Gouda)
2 tsp sugar
2 egg
60 ml oil
2 large sausages (Hot dogs) cut into pieces
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk.
2 table spoons black olives
2 tablespoons sweet corn

Preparation:

With an electrical mixer, beat oil, eggs & Milk,
then add the dry ingredients (Flour, Salt, sugar, baking soda & baking powder) & beat.

Add the Sausages, Cheese, Olives & corn & mix with a spoon.
divide the batter evenly into 12 cupcake papers &

enter preheated oven (180°) for 20 minutes.

My Tip You can add other types of vegetables like pepper or grated carrot.
 And also you can replace sausages with salami cut into pieces & add some pieces of Mushroom cut into slices.

No-base light Cheesecake

No-base light Cheesecake




This is a very nice light version of the normal Cheesecake recipe ,It has no base & lighter in ingredients. I found it a nice Blog, & decided to do it after seeing its amazing texture. I was so fluffy & airy, exactly like eating cotton candy!!
Ingredients:

250 gm Creamcheese
200 gm sourcream or Condensed Milk
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup sifted Starch
2 Tablespoons lemon juice
1 Tablespoon Lemon zest
3 eggs (seperated)

Preparation::

Beat Egg whites with an electrical mixer till firm peaks form.
Mix other ingredients (egg yolks, sugar,Lemon juice & Zest, Starch, Creamcheese & Sourcream). 


Fold the eggwhites into the other mixture till well mixed.



Put in a bttered non-stick Cake pan (or as I used a Loaf Pan)
Enter a preheated oven (180°C) for 1/2 hour, then lower the heat till (160°C) for another 1/2 hour. 
*Don´t over bake, so as not to have any cracks.
*The cheese cake after baking will appear wet & soggy from the middle.
*I usually bake Cheesecakes with a pot filled with water inside the oven. (I don't put the Cake pan inside a waterbath)
*Cool your cheese cake 4 hours before serving.
